Pharmacy
At Apothecarium, you’ll gain all the benefits of getting to know your pharmacist, and your pharmacist getting to know you. Having a dedicated pharmacist who knows you and your needs also means there’s less chance of an error occurring. At independent pharmacies, our main goal is to help you and make sure your visit to the pharmacy is a positive experience.
Medication Reviews
During a comprehensive medication review, our pharmacists look at your current medication schedule including prescriptions, over the counter medications and natural health products to verify what medications a patient is taking and how they are taking them. It's an opportunity to reassess and screen for potential problems a medication may present to the patient (side effects, drug interactions, etc).

Compliance Packaging (Blister Packs)
Do you or someone in your care forget to take your medications, or are on multiple drug therapies? Apothecarium Pharmacy provides compliance packaging for patients of all ages who are on multiple medications in order to help customers keep track of their medications.
We use a blister card designed to hold multiple medications that are prepared by a technician or pharmacist. Compliance packaging allows for automatic reordering on a weekly, bi-monthly or monthly basis.
Non-Sterile Compounding
Pharmacy compounding is the art and science of preparing personalized medications for patients. Compounded medications are made based on a practitioners prescription in which individual ingredients are mixed together in the exact strength and dosage form required by the patient. This method allows the compounding pharmacist to work with the patient and the prescriber to customize a medication to meet the patient’s specific needs.
Some use cases for compounding are:
Creating a topical cream for babies
Compounding medications to a specific dosage for a patient
Providing a medication as a candy or lozenge.
